Motion by W5WZ, seconded by N5NVP to accept financial report. Motion carried.

Motion made by KI5XP, seconded by K1DW to join LCARC and support their efforts. Motion carried.

Scott, W5WZ made payment to Scott Wren while at the Rayne hamfest.

Motion by K1DW, seconded by K5FNQ to renew sponsorship of the CQ WPX CW North America plaque for 2 years at $50 per year. Motion carried.

Motion by KI5XP, seconded by WB5AAA to pursue additional plaque sponsorships. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

Jim N5NVP requested LCC consider making $100 donation to LA Memorial Scholarship fund. Motion by KI5XP, second by W5AG to table proposal to present to larger body of LCC members via LCC reflector and/or website and/or March meeting in Monroe. Motion carried.

Dallas K1DW extended invitation for contest ops to join the Covington group for a future contest.

Dallas K1DW requested that a brief notice be posted to the LCC reflector anytime the LCC website is updated.

Mark K5ER reminded membership that LCC officer elections will be held on April 24, 2010 at the Monroe Hamfest/LCC meeting. In accordance with LCC by-laws, nomination can be opened at the meeting held during the 1^st calendar quarter of each year, and will close at midnight on April 3, 2010. Electronic (e-mail) balloting will be available thru April 22, 2010. As Scott W5WZ Secretary, will not be able to attend the Monroe meeting, Mark K5ER asked for two volunteers to serve as ballot counters. Randy N5MLJ and Bobby AA5LA volunteered. They will be added to the recipient list for the email addresses related to electronic voting. Their responsibility is to verify all nominations and ballots received electronically and present that report at the actual election meeting on April 24.

Motion by K5ER, second by W5WZ that nominations be opened for the slate of officers for the 2010-2011 year. Motion carried.

Scott W5WZ presented a presentation on Beverage antennas. The PowerPoint is available on the LCC website.

Reminder to all by K5ER to enter contests, log contacts, and send your log to the contest sponsor. Be sure to include the Louisiana Contest Club tag.

Members should try to focus on both multi-operator and single-operator opportunities.

Next meeting location Monroe LA on April 24, 2010

Dayton Contest Dinner -- LCC has purchased a table for ten. Three seats are still available. Cost is $37 per ticket.
