Members present included: K5UZ, KG5VK, KA5M, W5LA, W5WZ, W5TMP, and K5ER.
Minutes from our last meeting were available, however, since they were also posted on our web site, reading at the meeting was dispensed with. A financial report noting expenditures and current balances was given. **Immediately after the meeting, dues were accepted from K5SL, bringing our paid membership to 37.
Louisiana Qso Party (LaQP) -- All scoring for LaQP 2017 has been completed, however we currently still do not have access to our color laser printer to print the certificates. We anticipate having the printer back functional within a few weeks and once the certificates have been printed and mailed, the results will be posted on the LaQP web site. We apologize for the delay
NU1AW/5 presentation – Scott, W5WZ showed a powerpoint presentation of our recent NU1AW/5 operation during this year’s IARU contest. The presentation started with an email from NN1N to W5WZ and K5ER less than one month before the contest, offering the LCC use of the prestigious multiplier NU1AW/X, through our operation, scoring and running our results through SH5® statistical analyzing software. Scott was able to compare our results to others operations at the same point in the solar cycle. Nominations for next year’s club officers was opened several
names were submitted, including W5WZ for Pres, WM5H for VP, K5ER for Sec/Treas,
W5LA for Director and KN5O for Director. Please see
the regular N5LCC web site for info on the nomination process. Voting for those
nominated will start soon and will conclude at the next LCC meeting in
